INTRODUCTION

 

 

INTRODUCTION

 

Students will be exposed to the knowledge of environmental concepts student learning; various learning theories; implications of differences individual, motivation, learning styles on selection and application approaches and strategies for teaching and learning.

 

In addition to interaction with the lecturer during the holiday, you can use this learning guide to strengthen knowledge and skills in a number of headings (Heading 1 to 7). Hope you get the experience of learning interesting and challenging.

(2) Explain the importance of learning environment in the development and child's learning.

(3) Describe the key learning theories and implications for teaching and learning.

(4) Select and apply teaching approaches and strategies learning environment based on learning theory

(5) Apply knowledge of individual differences, style learning and motivation in teaching and learning.

(6) Creating a conducive learning environment.

 

OUTLINE OF CONTENTS LESSON

 

The course is divided into seven major titles. Each title is divided into several smaller subtopics containing related training as appropriate. The main topics currently allocated as follows:

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND MATERIAL SUPPORT

 

Each title contains brief notes and tasks directed work to be completed by the student and placed in a learning portfolio for evaluation. Assignments provided help students master content knowledge and thus applied in teaching and learning activities in the classroom environment.

 

Students are recommended to apply the latest learning strategies by integrating learning skills, thinking skills, Information and Communication Technology skills, assessment and evaluation skills which is emphasized skills of the 21st century.

 

Learning strategies can also be implemented independently and also co-operatively with colleagues.

 

To help students manage learning activities, reference lists are proposed in each subject learning guide. Other references and connection can be used especially in accessing the URL references are included on each learning topic. Students should  also refer to respective lecturer by e-mailing them for guidance and explanation.

Activities and exercises are included in every topic to help student learning to achieve effective learning outcomes.

 

Some tips that can be used by students to manage independent learning using the Learning Guide are as such provided:

 

i. Students need to understand the learning outcomes to be achieved for each course.

ii. Students are asked to understand the concepts, terms and definitions related to the contextual course titles and not just memorizing.

iii. Learning concepts that must be understood and appreciated by the students include activities to access information, gather information, process information and apply information.

iv. Students are advised to consult variety of sources of information from lecturers, reference materials, and co-workers, professional experience and internet resources.

v. Students are advised to prepare lesson plans and learning in the package form to be used during the first year study.

vi. Pedagogical content knowledge is always dynamic and forever increasing. Therefore, students are advised to make referencing using ICT facilities.

vii. Natural knowledge and existing professional experience are the students strength that can be used by students to make a difference and apply their appeal as practice in classroom.
